Data and Specifications
Coherent 899-01 Broadband Ring Laser
The Coherent 899-01 uses a 3-plate birefringent filter.
It is tunable from 370 nm to > 1 micron. This
Broadband Ring Laser maintains line widths of approximately 2
GHz in dye and < 2 GHz in Ti:S. Maximum tuning range
and high power are achieved by using uncoated intracavity
elements and mounting them at Brewster's angle. The
Coherent 899-01 Broadband Ring Laser delivers high efficiency
at a wide range of pump powers by using a unique variable
focus resonator.
Coherent 899-05 Passively Stabilized, Scanning Single
Frequency Ring Laser
The Coherent 899-05 reduces the line width to 20 MHz RMS in
dye operation and 10 MHz RMS with Ti:S. It achieves this
by using the 7230 ICA Intracavity Etalon Assembly, a
galvanometer mounted thin etalon and servo-controlled thick
etalon. The Model 7135 length-changing, galvanometer
driven, vertex-mounted Brewster Plate provides continuous
scanning operation over 30 GHz. Full electronic control of the
7230 ICA and its scanning operations are provided by the
modular 899 Ring Laser Control Unit.
Coherent 899-21 Actively Stabilized, Scanning
Single-Frequency Ring Laser
The Coherent 899-21 has all the functions and features of
the Coherent 899-05. However, it also includes
Coherent's patented AutolockTM frequency stabilization system
for line widths < 500 KHz RMS. To stabilize the cavity
length of the Coherent 899-21 low frequency error signal
corrections to the Vertex Brewster Plate and high frequency
error signal corrections to a PZT mounted fold mirror are
provided by a single reference cavity and ancillary optics.
Coherent 899-29 Autoscan™ II
The Coherent 899-29 Autoscan™ II system incorporates the
full functions of the Model 899-21. It also includes
complete computer control of all laser operations. The 899-29
Autoscan II system provides calibrated, seamless
spectral-scans in the region of 450 to 900 nm over a
selectable range up to 10 THz and simultaneous multiple
channel data acquisition. The system comes with an integrated
wavelength meter which has a specified absolute accuracy of +-
200 MHz and reproducibility of +-50 MHz. The Coherent 899-20
Autoscan II includes PC compatible computer, interface card,
and software.
